Recommendation Guidance

I can advise you on choosing appropriate recommenders and understanding what admissions committees look for. Recommendation letters must be written and submitted by the recommenders themselves.

About Jeff Roah

I have worked as an admissions consultant in Japan since 2001 and founded Roah Consulting in 2009.

Before moving to Japan, I worked as a management consultant in the United States, including positions with Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. I hold an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BA in Political Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

In addition to my consulting practice, I teach intercultural communication at universities in Japan.

Meet in Tokyo or Online

My office is located near Aoyama-itchome Station in central Tokyo. Online sessions are available through Zoom for applicants elsewhere in Japan or overseas.

I welcome clients of all nationalities, and all consultations are conducted in English.
